The hooks are manufactured by Hariyoshi Co., Ltd. in Hyogo Prefecture, the home of Banshu needles. The extremely sharp tip penetrates the barb the moment the fish touches it, ensuring even a short bite is not missed. Hariyoshi's unique special sear shape, called the Wave Line, is used, which provides overwhelming strength and fish-attracting effects, while also sending the hook deeper and further away, reducing the chance of the fish getting away. This is the strongest hook we have ever used.
The hook (4/0) with a tube allows for secure setting. Its strength is 25.8kgf and its weight is approximately 0.9g.
The breaking strength of the tip of the B hook is approximately 6-7 kg (based on our tests).
The tip (blue) is tin-plated to prevent rust, and a special paint is applied to the cutting part to prevent rust.It is an extremely thin coating that will peel off easily so as not to affect hooking, but since it is firmly attached to the cutting part, it is resistant to rust.
The cut parts have not been deburred in order to enhance the effect of the W-barb.
