The extremely thin body is difficult to see because its shape changes dramatically depending on the viewing angle.
When jerked, it appeals to a wide area with a strong darting action that pushes water with a flapping action, and when it falls, it creates an irregular sliding action that induces bites.
Furthermore, by designing both sides of the body to be concave, when the concave surfaces are hit by a water current from the front while the lure is falling or staying still, it creates an action that causes the body to rotate at high speed.
