The inspiration for these characteristics came from yellowtail amberjack in the Genkai Sea. The SPY was tuned to match a pattern of luring them up over 10 meters and then letting them fall. Through continued testing, we unexpectedly discovered that slow-pitch jerks and long-fall jerks were effective not only for bluefish but also for bottom-dwelling fish, leading to its commercialization. The 250g lure for shallow waters and the 600g lure for deeper waters are particularly powerful for catching big, monster-class fish. The SPY and SPY-FIVE are similar but not the same, and those with a deep understanding of slow-pitch jerks will be able to sense the difference in their characteristics. Of course, the SPY-FIVE's concept of "anyone can easily catch fish" remains unchanged.
